Terms of use

Version 1.0. Last updated 28 October 2026.

These terms govern your use of URLiG at urlig.com: creating, opening, checking and reporting short links. Read them with our House rules and Privacy notice. If you do not agree with them, do not use the service.

1. About URLiG

URLiG takes a long web address, creates a short urlig.com address for it and sends anyone who opens the short address to the destination you chose. We keep the link between the two addresses while the short link is active. Our public channel for support, privacy, legal matters and appeals is boss@urlig.com. Abuse reports go to Report a link or abuse@urlig.com.

2. Accepting these terms

You accept these terms by using the site or its tools. The version that applies is the one published on this page on the day you use the service. How we handle personal information is explained separately in the Privacy notice.

3. How the service works

Creating a short link is free and needs no account. URLiG keeps every parameter in the address you submit, including affiliate IDs and UTM tags. Each link comes with a QR code. Add + to the end of a short link to see its stats: total clicks and, where available, referring sources and approximate location. A click is not a person or a session: repeated and automated requests are counted as well. A link created without an account is not tied to a dashboard, so it cannot be edited or deleted by its creator later.

URLiG does not create, host or approve the content of a destination. A short link does not change the destination, transfer any rights in it or guarantee that it stays available. It also does not guarantee that a messaging app, social network, search engine or ad platform will accept it.

4. The checkpoint page and sponsored banners

Sponsored banners keep URLiG free. The first 30 clicks on a link go straight to the destination. After that, visitors may first see a checkpoint page that shows where the link leads, a basic safety check and sponsored banners, and then continue with one click. Warning and blocked-link pages can also show sponsored banners.

The checkpoint never changes the destination chosen by the creator. Banners link to an advertising partner, which picks the offer after the click. Gambling banners are not shown to visitors from the United States and its territories. What happens to data when someone sees or clicks a banner is explained in the Privacy notice.

5. Who may use URLiG and your responsibilities

URLiG is for adults. You are responsible for the destinations you shorten and for how you share them. In particular, you must:

  • have the right to use and share the destination;
  • make sure gambling-related destinations are lawful for the people you aim them at and are not directed at minors;
  • include any disclosures required by law, your affiliate programme or the channel where you post;
  • keep your own record of important destination URLs and test each link before a campaign or publication.

6. Prohibited use

Lawful, adult-directed casino, sports betting, poker, esports, bonus and promotional pages are welcome under our House rules. Do not use URLiG for:

  • phishing, malware, credential theft or deceptive downloads;
  • fraud, impersonation, fake payouts or misleading redirects;
  • spam, mass unsolicited messages or automated bulk creation;
  • gambling content aimed at minors or at people where it is unlawful;
  • content that is illegal or infringes the rights of others;
  • overloading the service, bypassing limits or probing its security;
  • getting around a warning or block by shortening the same harmful destination again.

This list is not complete. When deciding whether use is abusive, we may consider the destination, how the link is distributed and credible reports.

7. Review, warnings, blocks and removal

We may review reports and technical signals and may show a warning, restrict or disable a link, or limit access to the service when needed to deal with abuse, risk or a legal requirement. An urgent risk may require action without notice. We do not promise to inspect every destination by hand before a link is created.

8. Reports and appeals

Report a suspicious URLiG link at Report a link or abuse@urlig.com. A report does not guarantee removal. If you created a link and believe a warning or block is a mistake, write to boss@urlig.com with the short URL and the context. We may ask for information to understand the case. An appeal does not guarantee that the link will be restored.

9. Checking a link

Check a link shows where a short link leads before you open it. It is a transparency tool, not a guarantee that a destination is safe, accurate or lawful.

10. Intellectual property

The URLiG name, logo, site design and texts belong to URLiG. You may link to URLiG and describe the service accurately. You keep whatever rights you have in your destination; using URLiG gives neither of us rights in the other's content.

11. Third-party services and content

Destinations, advertising partners and the websites they lead to are independent of URLiG and have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control or endorse them. Check a website's terms before you sign up, deposit or share information there.

12. Availability, changes and ending the service

We work to keep URLiG available but do not promise uninterrupted service, permanent storage or permanent access to any link. We may change, suspend or end a feature when needed for operation, safety or legal compliance. When a planned material change affects users or links, we will give reasonable notice where we can. We may update these terms; the version on this page shows its number and date.

13. Warranties and liability

URLiG is provided as it is and may have faults or interruptions. Check the destination and that the link works before using it in a campaign, in print or in an important message.

To the extent the law allows, URLiG is not responsible for content published by others, for what happens on a destination, or for indirect losses caused by use outside our control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability for fraud, wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or any liability or consumer right that cannot be excluded by law.

14. Applicable law and disputes

If something goes wrong, contact us first at boss@urlig.com so we can try to resolve it directly. These terms do not take away the mandatory protections of the law of the country where you live, or your right to go to a competent authority or court there.

15. Contact

Send questions about the service, these terms, privacy or legal matters to boss@urlig.com or use the Contact page. To report abuse, use Report a link, which sends the case to the right review.
